Are friends list we create on Facebook private?

Hi everyone,
as the title says, I've been wondering if the lists of friends we create on Facebook (for example: close friends, restricted etc.) are private. Can the people in it see that they belong to that list? Can they see who is in the list with them? Can they see the name of the list?

I'm pretty sure they can't , I have a friend in there and I told he was in there and was shocked as he didn't realise so probably can't

Yes its Private Nobody Else Can See the Lists But you

It's private, only you who know who's who in every friends list.

BUT.....
If you say post something say with the audience selector set to Close Friends, which then can only be viewed by your friends in that list only, right so far. Now if say one of that friend in Close Friend hover their mouse on the audience setting icon, they can see the names of all your friends in Close Friends list! Even they're not friends of each other, even if you set your Friends list (the one on your Timeline) privacy to Only Me. That's one flaw of Facebook.
