Why do you guys think myspace & facebook is so important to the media?

what would you guys think would happen if facebook disappeared? How would people's advertisements get through...

if it disappears then a new social site will open

Myspace and Facebook are starting to become the 1990's version of TELEVISION which provides pure entertainment. Other than the games.. people meet different kinds of people in the comfort of their homes.

Since it's also practically like your MAILBOX filled with interactive things.... people get more drawn to it. And the more people get drawn to it.. the more it becomes a good place to advertise. Facebook and myspace are not only used in America but it has already expanded and continues to do so in all parts of the world.

Therefore.. in a way.. it is even better than television. Because on TV.. only people living in that same country can watch the advertisements. Imagine if you can get orders from other countries?

If facebook disappeared.. am pretty sure there are a lot of computer geeks who will try to make their own version of "facebook".
