Friend's name is written in black. Please help!!!?

When i go to search my friend on facebook, i can't find him, when i go to my friends list i see him without a picture with blue letters, when i click on it, it says that the account is deactivated, when I go to my messages and find his messages i see his name in black letters without a picture. Is it deleted or deactivated? I know I am not blocked.
By the way, when that account was just gone from facebook, i could search him and saw his picture, if i click on his account, it says that it's a wrong link or page may be removed. Please help me I think it's just deactivated, but I wanna be sure, because those black letters makes me worried Help me!

I think it's deactivated.

Yeah, it just means he's deactivated his account. If he deleted you, you'd have the option to add him and his name would be blue. If he blocked you, you wouldn't be able to find him at all.
