Has Your Facebook Account Ever Been Hacked?

I am a medical school student and deactivate my Facebook account while school is in session ( because its a distraction for me). Last month friends informed me I was back on Facebook. Which took me by surprise because I didnt re-activate it. I brushed this off as i might have accidentally re-activated it with Spotify. I went ahead and changed my password, and placed a 2-step verification on my Gmail account and unlinked my Spotify account from my Facebook account. Well last night I received a text message from my friend saying I was on Facebook again. I logged on and my messages are read. The only person I know who knows my email address is my ex-boyfriend. I was just wondering if any of you guys know if it possible to hack Facebook accounts without entering the email address linked to it???

Thankfully, no. But some of my friends accounts have, and it was usually because they 'clicked' on some sketchy link someone posted.

yeah maybe possible by cookie stealing and other methods like dns poisoning etc. but it takes an expert to succeed those methods. but no real bypassing of 2 step verification can be done for now. setup the 2 step verification for fb too. and don't forget to signout from all other active devices!
