Need a Media Research topic for paper?
I have no idea what topic to research for this paper. It has to be media related and something I can find a lot of information about. Any ideas?

I was thinking maybe something to do with gender or how women are portrayed, or maybe the advertising of prescription meds on TV...or how a lot of adults are getting their news from Facebook. I have little flicker of ideas but I need help focusing them into actual research topics. Feel free to pitch your own ideas I'm open to anything at this point.

Here's some examples the professor gave that we can't use.

What media-related topic are you interested in researching for your pilot study?

For example, maybe you've observed:

>TV weathermen always seem to get it wrong when it comes to winter weather. What's with the scare graphics and made-up words like "Snowpocalypse"?
>It's annoying how ads and packaging for toys like the Easy Bake Oven only seem to target female children. Isn't this just perpetuating an old stereotype about women and domestic tasks?
>What's a show like Honey Boo Boo doing on "The Learning Channel"? Shouldn't History Channel be showing historical documentaries instead of long-form game shows like "Ice Road Truckers"?
