Why are people so cruel?

Hi. Over a year ago, I made this fan-account on Twitter. But two weeks ago, some assholes in my class found out about it. They told everyone and made fun of me. They still do. I feel horrible. They are so mean. I don't know what to do anymore. Some people seem not to care, they still treat me the same. But even the guy who gets bullied the most now bullies me. And I used to stand up for him! It's so unfair! Why do I have to be ashamed of myself? Why do they have to make me feel that way? I've been ignoring it but it got worse. Even people who don't know me make fun of me now. WTF?! I just deleted the account. It isn't fun anymore to be a fan when people laugh at you because of it. It's so stupid, I know. But I don't know what to do anymore. I feel hopeless. Why are people so small-minded? So cruel?

Don't be discouraged, just tell a teacher or something and there bound to stop it from the core, tell your mom/dad/blah

what were you a fan of? you can either fight them or just laugh with them. sometimes its better to just laugh with them. you can play the stone walled fierce fighter part but it won't get you many friends. just laugh it off and poke fun at them. remember: ALL WILL BE WELL!!!!

I know it's hard and that it sounds easier said than done, but you shouldn't give them the power to control your emotions like that. The only reason why they bully you, is so that they can make themselves believe that their own pathetic existence is still better than someone else's (<= don't take this the wrong way: you are NOT pathetic!). Even if it means verbally destroying them. They're probably really insecure, though that doesn't justify their behavior.
As for the most bullied guy: He's weak. Weak enough to backstab the person who's been helping him all along. You should stop helping him. It sounds harsh, but that guy is so desperate to not get bullied anymore that he'd easily and willingly be a bully.

There's no good reason to bully someone. NEVER! People who bully other people aren't worth it. You shouldn't care about people like that. You're better than that. No-one has the right to laugh at you because you're a fan of something they don't like. People tend to be small-minded, because they are scared of what they don't know or not really know, and only believe in what they do know to the point where they will try to crush anything or anyone that isn't like them.

You should tell someone, like a teacher or a parent before it gets out of hand. Don't let them influence you so much. You are stronger than that! (I know because you stood up for someone else and that is NOT easy!)
