There are many ways(paid and free) to get traffic, you can get free traffic using a facebook page, facebook groug, hub pages, squiddo and the list goes on and on, you can pay for traffic using google adwords, msn ad center, facebook ads, y space ads and the list goes on here as well.
the most important thing is to get targeted traffic, know you audiance, their dempographics, likes, interests, hobbies anything you can get. YOu can use google adplanner, alexa or quantcaast to get that valuable information
