Go to "manage add ons" and see if something is there that shouldn't be and uninstall if there is.

It is called Internet Security, not Anti Virus. Norton 360 is called so because it includes Antivirus, Internet Security, Backup, etc. I personally do not know any Internet Security that is free of charge.

So after your webpage is hijacked, you have to search Internet for its removal steps manually and that will resolve the issue. No big deal.

Just see your add-ons, search for any toolbars, search engines, plugins, extensions, that you are not aware of, uninstall them, and you are good to go.

It all starts with the browser, and how it's configured.
The ideal condition is to not let it happen in the first place.

What are you using?

The browser itself should be secured against hijacks, some are- some aren't. Some people allow browser hijacks by installing extensions, and toolbars that are already or eventually become vulnerable to hijacks. Most anti-virus/antimalware do already protect against some malwares that introduce browser hijackers, but as I said- some people unwittingly opt to have them. More on that here: http://www.comodo.com/home/browsers-tool...rowser.php There are other flavors of Chromium out there, some emphasize on security, others on social media, torrents, etc. The BEST way to prevent hijacks is to educate yourself in that specific area of internet security.
