Courting a Friendship 101?
I am 23 years old and have been in my college town for 4+ years now & although I have some acquaintances, I don't have any friends. This is due to the fact that I am actually very charismatic but my emotional intelligence & ability to read social cues is very off.. I am also very self conscious.
For a while I decided to take a step back & decide what kind of person I wanted to be & what kind of ppl I wanted to attract.. Now that I know, am ready to get back out there & start making real friends but I realized that I missed out on some key know how's to courting a friendship: How to make that jump from clicking with someone & actually getting their number, becoming friends & hanging out? How to approach making friends when I don't have any other friends (for us to meet up with, invite me to parties, etc) ? How do I "hang out" with someone at my or their house? Etiquette for going out on the town with new friends? Tips for calling/texting/social media? Ads |

Go where the action is. That has never changed. If a guy looks interested, but is shy, don't be afraid to make the first move. Girls do that these days. Don't be too aggressive, but you can break the ice.
