how do I delete a facebook account?

I opened another facebook account and now I want to close it and go back to my original account

Whenever u go into your privacy settings u should see that it says deactivate account , once you click on that it takes a cpl of hours, but if u log back into that account it comes back up so dont log back in. U can have a friend check to see if ur still their friend on facebook once done.

To deactivate, (turn off) your account, first click the downward triangle in the top right corner next to "home" on Facebook. After that, you go to "security" on the left bar. At the bottom is a link that says "deactivate your account". You click on that and Facebook will tell you what to do. It will delete most of your activity on that account, but a minuscule amount may remain. It will also ask you to give reason for the departure, but pretty simple nonetheless.

You can either deactivate your account or delete it altogether.
