While on the app, Hot or Not, I stumbled upon a guy that I thought looked familiar. Come to find out, he is one of my friend's cousins who I met a few years ago. We are Facebook friends, but I don't think we've ever talked on there; we kind of just added each other after hanging out with my friend/his cousin that one time, about four years ago. I'm gay, but I am not very open about it. I don't know if he's gay, but like I said, on the Hot or Not app, I ran into him (meaning my search was filtered for guys, who- I'm assume- also have a filtered search for guys). Should I message him? Should I not answer him? What should I say if yes? Thanks so much!

Is there anything on his profile about being gay or bisexual? I've never used Hot or Not, but I had a friend that used OKCupid and it usually says the sexual preference at the top, but I have no idea if Hot or Not is similar. I would check that out first before you message him because it could really freak him out and make things awkward if he's straight.
