Did my facebook get hacked or do I have a virus?

Make sure that you are browsing Facebook at https://www.facebook.com.
If it persists, it is most likely that you have a virus, re-installing the browser should fix the problem.

Did you recently update your profile. I updated letting people know what I liked, then instantly, I get all kind of ads on the right side about the things I like.

Facebook does that often. I agree, reinstalling your browser will get it back to normal, but it will happen again. Advertisers. They make the www a big joke.
