facebook friends are mostly not your real friends, try going out more and meet real people in real life that's the best way to meet new friends

Send Friend Requests to People that you Know in Real Life Dont Make it a Contest Tho And Dont Do it Really Fast Or you will Get Blocked From Adding People

Make only known person friends.If you want to make friendship with more unknown people then i am sure your account will block one day because facebook is very strict for the fake users.

Send friend request to lot of people but be ware your account could be suspended for this thing. Poke is another nice feature that helps in adding Friends.
