My ex boyfriend moved to the town I go to school in, got a job I always told him to go for - coincidence?
I dated my ex boyfriend for 2 years and we used to live together. We went through a lot together - early on in our relationship, his younger brother suddenly passed away. I was there for him completely. As soon as we graduated high school, he found a way for us to move to Chicago (where i always wanted to live) because he knew I came from a really abusive home. He could be really great, but he also has a ton of issues. For example, when he was short on money he stole some of my dead grandpa's coins from my grandma's house, while my grandma was in the hospital. Then every time we'd break up or get into a fight he'd go and post/reply to GAY sex ads on Craigslist. I'm sure he must be bisexual but he denies it and ever actually going through anything. Long story short I couldn't take it anymore and dumped him. He continued to let me stay with him and tried to win me back and still basically acted like i was his girlfriend and took care of me. But after a few months when it became clear I hated him and would never be with him again, he threw me out.

When I came to get my things he started crying which he NEVER does. He told me how sorry he was for everything and basically said if I'd forgive him and take him back I could come back. But I refused. Then he got so upset I left without getting all my things. Then he held onto those things for 5 months, every week coming up with a new excuse for why he couldn't return them. I know he only did this as an excuse to stay in contact because when I was nice to him, he was extremely nice to me. He had already immediately started dating another girl, though. We've been broken up for a year and he's still dating that girl but I don't even think he likes her - I'm pretty sure he cheats on her. She's really weird, not cute at all, and his family doesn't seem to like her. Our breakup was extremely ugly and his family knows this, but his sister is still friends with me on facebook and will "like" some of my stuff. His mom's best friend does the same thing. Idk if they're keeping tabs on me for him or what because he has me blocked.

Anyways, I haven't talked to him at all for like 2 months. I know that almost right after I moved out, he moved out of our apartment we used to share. And he really had no reason to - it was a nice place, plus he has bad credit so it's hard for him to find a new place anyways. When he did move, he moved to the exact town I go to school in - when he knows I have a problem because now I have no way to really prove my residency anymore which could be a problem. Then yesterday I found out that he got a new job. During our breakup when I really mad at him, I'd put him down a lot for being just a scumbag car salesman. And when we were together I always encouraged him to move on from selling cars and get into corporate business. Well, his new job is working in corporate America...

Is this all a coincidence or could he really be hung up on me after a year and me leaving him alone for 2 months? I don't want him back - I'm pretty sure he's a sociopath but I'm just curious.
And he got a rescue dog. He knows I volunteer at an animal shelter but I think his new gf is an animal lover too but idk

I don't believe in coincidences.
