Why are my apps crashing on my iPod Touch?

I've tried resetting my iPod, I keep all the apps up to date, I restart my iPod if it does it, I've done a lot of things I see online to do already but none really help, my iPod isn't broken (on the outside at least) it's only a year or two old, it's a 4th generation with 16gb, and IOS 6 or whatever was before 7. Most of the time when I click on Facebook it exits and makes me click again before it works then it exits randomly, same with Snapchat, and Instagram, other apps, like hot or not and bitstrips, don't even let me on at all, bitstrips either exits before I can make my profile and repeatedly does so or says error, hot or not lets me in but if I try to click anything it exits.

Its cause your ipod is old, apple makes their products be able to work properly with apps for 3 years after that its out-dated and I don't know if you got it as soon as it came out or a year after since you said its 1 or 2 years but apple made it longer than that. You either need to 5th gen or stop updating your apps to the point where you need ios 7
