Facebook iPad & iPhone apps crash?

I have Facebook on my iPad and iPhone. On both, pages load very slowly if at all and often the apps freeze and crash. I tried restarting the devices but most of the time it doesn't work. This happens on wi-fi and on data. Any ideas why this happens?

Are your devices up to date in software? This can affect speed. You can try deleting the apps and reinstalling them on one device to see if that helps. If the devices memorys are close to full it can slow down the functioning too.
