There is a way to remove it. You know where you sign out? There is the drop down box. When you click the drop down box, there is an area that says something like "disengage time line" and when you click it, it makes your page back to normal.

While its not possible to completely remove Timeline, you can however view Timeline pages in a less annoying single column format in your own browser, you just need to follow this simple guide:

http://fbpurity.com/remove-timeline

This method is safe and it really works, you can tell this because it has over 57,600 "likes" on the page, and hundreds of positive comments from people who have got it to work.

there is no way to remove it - everyone is being converted to the timeline - it's the new look for facebook, not an optional update - they are now forcibly converting everyone slowly without your consent

this guide will help you learn how to use it

Not possible. Use Google Chrome, though, and it won't look like timeline to you.
