Connection error on Facebook app for the iPod but not for the Internet version?

I'm trying to use my Facebook app on my iPod to watch a YouTube video which you can't do on safari. The safari version works fine, in fact all of the websites work fine. It's just the app. I tried reinstalling it but I can't even log in without it saying "connection error" any ideas on how to fix it?

Hey, Katie. Me again.

1) The app might not allow you to be connected
by two computers at the same time. Security reasons.
solution; log out from Facebook on your computer, then log in with the app.

OR...

2) It could be that the app requires a certain type of connection not active.
solution; check your setting in the app for "connection type" wifi or other.
