why do my photos lose quality when uploaded?
To sites like weheartit, facebook, or anything? But they look great on my tablet..

I use my tablet, nook hd+, and the autodesk pixlr app to tweek and upload. But they save fine, i save original size to not lose quailty. But any tips or info, I can't find anything online to help me Sad. Do I need to save smaller? Or upload directly from my tablet instead of the app?

Maybe the apps are resizing your photos, try uploading them directly from your tablet. Also make sure that the "High quality" option on facebook is on.

Don't know about the others but Facebook itself degrades image quality as part of their upload proces. It's intended as a social media platform not for displaying photos.

Use a dedicated photo site instead like 500pix or Flickr.

Because when you upload images to social networking websites that were not designed for image sharing, they add unacceptable amounts of compression to the images, reducing their quality. It's called jpeg compression. And facebook is probably the worst for doing that to images.

You can't find an app that will cure it, because the compression is added by facebook.

If you want to share unaltered full size images at maximum quality, you'll need to use a different website. For example, you can do that with flickr. Which is free http://www.flickr.com
