Like any career, it's good if YOU are good at it. If you are skilled in marketing and really enjoy it, you will succeed and climb to the top and benefit from all of the things you listed. However, if you're only doing it because it's 'a good job', you'll be harshly disappointed.

But yes, top people in marketing do travel, do interact with people, do get paid well and potentially form friendships (although the higher you rise in a company, the less friendships you tend to have).

Marketing is a business thing. I am in a marketing class for 2 semesters (told it was easy....but no) it teaches you business and leadership
You meet tons new people. I get to go to places and compete in fact my next trip is on Friday, only take it if you want your career to have something with business. If not DONT TAKE IT! It also makes you more confident in yourself
