Parents found my twitter?
Well, not so much BOTH parents, but my Dad did. My mom knows I have a Twitter because every now and then I mention something a band member tweeted or what's trending (for example, the other day when Amy Lee tweeted this picture, https://twitter.com/AmyLeeEV/status/4047...40/photo/1 , #EvanescenceNewAlbum was trending for HOURS and I told my mom about it trending and asked if they go on tour next year if she can get tickets, etc)
I'm about to be 15 and I cuss a LOT in my Tweets, I follow Illhueminati (organization that has members who write poetry, etc) members' Twitters and some of them tweet sexual things, etc. I follow a lot of bands that my parents don't "approve" of, I have quite a few Satanic Norwegian black metal bands listed in my bio, I post pictures of King & Gaahl from God Seed/Gorgoroth, Pelle from Mayhem, etc. The photos of the band members I've tweeted pictures of show that they are in a black metal band. God Seed follows me back on Twitter, and my mom knows about when King and Gaahl were still in Gorgoroth, about their concerts, crucified models, pentagrams, upside down crosses (when they don't mean anything Satanic), goats' heads on stage, their Black Mass Krakow concert in Poland, etc. My parents are Baptist and they don't like bands that use Satanism in their music, and they don't like black metal AT ALL. They despise it.
I'm Baptist as well, but I don't really care if the bands I listen to are Satanic or not, but my mom thinks that if a band I listen to is Satanic or involved in black metal, it will make me a Satanist as well, when it will not.
My dad has been following me for quite a while without me knowing until a few hours ago when I searched his Twitter to see if he was Tweeting anything about the Alabama-Auburn game, and it said he follows me. I don't guess he paid much attention to anything I've tweeted because he hasn't brought Twitter up in a conversation with me at all. I put my account on Private a few days ago, so I blocked my dad so that he won't be able to follow me or see my Tweets.

If, for some reason, my dad brings my Twitter up when he's talking to me, what should I say if he says something about the black metal, cussing, accounts I'm following, etc?
Also, I've tweeted about my depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts/tendencies, etc and NEITHER of my parents know about my depression, anxiety, or suicidal tendencies. I don't need them knowing about any of it because it would worry them both, but mainly my mom because my uncle (her brother) committed suicide in July and if she knew about me being suicidal and my depression, it would worry her to death and I don't want her to have to worry about anything more than what she already is worried about.

I am a guy that's 19 and I have basically had the same situation growing up. As a kid I loved horror films. My mom did not care but my dad did. Just movies like Halloween or The exorcist, and a bunch of old monster movies like King Kong. Eventually they became cool with it. I love my parents to death by the way but some times we don't see eye to eye.
then when I was 13 I became really obsessed with this horror graphic novel comic book that was really nasty called 30 days of night it was a series. It was just really nasty and violent filthy stuff I should not have been reading or looking at. we had a big fight about it after I was into the stuff for a year, but I decided that I did not want to look at it anymore because I had a younger brother and I wanted to set an example for him. But then I got into more extreme movies. movies such as Nekromantik and cannibal Holocaust. if you look those films up they are pretty extreme horror films. Then when I was 14 began getting into heavy metal. They did not like that either but since I was a teenager they said it was alright. At first I was into Mayhem cuz I saw the singer maniac and how he cut up the sheep and threw it into the audience, and just crazy underground music like that. But as I matured I began digging normal bands like Pantera because I liked how they were just normal guys with no shock factor, and they were good musicians. So maybe it is just a phase of you liking black metal bands. I had to explain to my parents some nasty album covers like venom's black metal, Slayer's reighn in blood, some death metal records, and Darththrone records and so on.

I then began buying t-shirts of the bands I liked. I was not allowed to wear them because I work at my parents store and one day I will take it over, and they said that I have to go into peoples houses and people can be offended. But I look back and they were right. it would not look good if I went into a customers house wearing a venom shirt that had the goat of bathomet on it cuz people don't know its an old metal band they think it is satanic.
I was also fascinated with Satanism but I quickly learned that the kids that do it are just doing it to be weird and different. I've studied it and its nothing about kids dressing in black or anything like that. They do some extreme things that a person would be put in jail for life for.

My advice to you would be to get rid of all the vulgar things on the page. I would be mad if I had a kid and people were writing nasty things or whatever. and maybe try to find a more normal band that you like. don't get mad I love all the crazy black metal and what not.... But it does make you pretty weird eventually if that's all you listen to. I went threw that phase but then I went back and discovered classic bands like Black Sabbath or ozzy, or iron maiden. and my parents let me listen to whatever I want now as long as I don't wear shirts that say the bands names or satan pictures. But my parents now I love extreme things. Good luck...
