Help Running a Website, web designers?
Hi

I have got this website http://www.kahkashan.net/

its a mini social networking site, i had an idea when i chose the name, which i no longer value, so a name change is needed.

Once you have signed up, you get all the features of Facebook, but what makes this site different is that users are categorized inorder of their occupation.

I am looking for someone to help me run this site, maybe a web designer or people with expereince of marketing.

If you would like to talk about this please e-mail me at tcplusplus@yahoo.com

Thanks

Hahahaahha no ones going to sign up dude. You can't have a socialnetworking startup company in these times, the market has been overtaken by myspace, facebook, twitter, etc.

You're wasting your time and effort.

Your site seems to have a strong technology theme which you could perhaps use to promote it.

Lose the dance party header image and move the ad links further down the page, you don't want to give people the chance to click elsewhere before they've found out what your site is about.

Perhaps making the site an "occupational" networking site rather than a plain social networking site could give it a unique flavour.

Approach some of the professional institutions and societies and see if they can provide articles relevant to the professions they represent.

Sign up to an affiliate scheme and place ads linking to employment and training agencies.

Perhaps provide a list of colleges/universities and the courses they provide.

With unemployment in the UK rapidly approaching 2.5 million people will be looking for any avenue that might lead to a job.

However make sure your news articles are up to date, some on your homepage date back to 2007.
