I need to say thank you but I feel thank you isn't enough for what he's done for me?

There's this guy and we know each other from a previous school but we both went separate ways. We still talk constantly and finally from always letting him down in plans I found time to actually go out with him one day. I was so happy to see him after 4 years, I had such an amazing day and surprisingly I felt comfortable around him and not nervous. However after the day was over we both went home and a bit of shit happened and he was there for me talking to me helping me all through till 4 o'clock in the morning. Where finally Id stopped being sick and shaking and everything that had gone on that night and fell asleep. From after that story I'm scared to talk to him because I feel like he'll see me as weak and pathetic. If anyone could help me with how I could talk to him maybe some sort if proper thank you, because I still haven't had the chance to say thank you. This only happened last night. Thank you.

Hannah, anyone who sits up with you half the night to help you through a challenge is a true friend indeed. Please don't over think the power of a thank you and talk yourself into believing something that isn't real. Yes, by all means thank your confidant.
