Why does my ex boyfriend wanna text me, when he has a gf!?
My ex-boyfriend and I recently became friends again on Facebook, he added me at the start of this year and apologised for hurting me (emotionally) in our break-up stage. (He was in the army and was deployed to Afghanistan for 6 months, and thats how long we dated and how long I waited for him also to come home.) I deleted him off Facebook after I found out he got a new girlfriend (which was in like September 2012, a couple of months after we broke up and when he arrived back home from his deployment).

He's still with his girlfriend, actually living with her now, so he's moved on, but on Facebook he's been liking a few of my statuses and photos...which I found a bit weird.

He then inboxed me asking how my week has been then says this afterwards:
"Btw, if you feel like catching up over text or even if you have snap chat or something it beats fb messages haha a lot easier! Anyways enjoy your night x"

I then said "yeah sure, but I don't want to interfere with anything" (meaning his gf)

He then messaged me "no you're not!" And gave me his number.

I don't want to be desperate but is it, if I talk to him again? Just as a friend? I've forgiven and forgot about it all since it happened 2 years ago.

And why would he want to be texting me again, when he's got a girlfriend???

The real question is why would you want to text a guy that already has a girlfriend and that you were in a failed relationship with, particularly if you really are over him? Nothing good can come of this.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to have friends. However, keep in mind that you two have a history, and he has a partner. Respect his relationship and his partner. As long as you have good intentions I say go for it.
