How to block someone on facebook without using reporting.?

I am trying to block someone but every time I do it says "Oops, Something went wrong. We're working on getting it fixed as soon as we can." and I really need to get this person off my back as they are abusive, can anyone tell me if there is another way to do it besides going to their page and using the block button? Thanks so much!

Yes , you can block any one ..Just navigate to https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=blocking

Add email id or username of the specific person , this will block that user
