Im having the same problem right now! Google chrome kept crashing on me ever 3 mins! so now im using internet explore.
try to do a full scan system, I used Norton, and it said it was a virus, but the problem was still there. I was about to do a system back up. but try this- Delete all history, cookies, empty the cache and all that make sure you don't have any programs you may have installed that look suspicious, If you are using windows, go to control panel and look for uninstall programs. delete any suspicions files you may have downloaded, or if the browser did it for you (i.e. if you are in a pop up web page sometimes it automatically downloads things.) empty the trash bin as well. I hope you fix the problem!!!! maybe try another web browser. or again re install. Ads |

Hello,
Sorry for the trouble. I am Vineeth and I am from the Norton Support team. Can you please run a scan using the free Norton Power Eraser tool in Safe Mode with Networking and see if that detects and removes the Fake app: http://www.Norton.com/npe? Let me know if you need further help! Thanks! Vineeth Norton Support |

Hi,
same problem for me right now using both Firefox and Chrome. I did both the full system scan and the Norton Power Eraser scan, but still not working. Any other suggestion? Maybe something useful here http://forums.whatthetech.com/index.php?...pic=127589 http://www.symantec.com/security_respons...asid=24024 |

I had the same problem but I fixed it.
All you have to do is go to the Norton program and allow Fake App Attack : Misleading Application File Download 3. Here's what you have to do. 1. Open Norton 2. Open settings 3. Open firewall 4. Click on the fourth of the one (The one that says something about intrusion and browser protection.) 5. See the third highest one that says something about signatures for intrusion and click on configure. 6. Find Fake App Attack : Misleading Application File Download 3 and allow it. |

Scan your PC for malware
If you do not have a good anti-virus program, please consider installing one. Below are some we highly recommend. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Microsoft Security Essentials Kaspersky Anti-Virus Or you can use the manual removal |
