Can you explain to me how Myspace and Yahoo! are different?
Myspace: At one time it was the biggest social media site on the web. It started hosting a generic "Religion and Philosophy" section that was a shooting gallery for people who like attacking people of faith with anonymous hatred and mockery. People of faith implored the site to fix it. They eventually organized a boycott.

Six months after this 30 day boycott, Myspace removed the generic religion section from their website. Unfortunately it was much too late. Years of mishandling the most important topic to most humans on this planet took a toll.

Yahoo!: Once the site that freed people from the bubble of AOL. Still the largest e-mail server in the world. Started hosting a generic "Religion and Spirituality" section over 7 years ago. A shooting gallery of anonymous hatred against people of faith. They are implored repeatedly to fix it and refuse. Talks of a boycott begin...

So, how are they different?
Calling me delusional when I witnessed how it happened with others only shows your ignorance. The "regs" of that website started turning to the worst crimes you could imagine. You read about their crimes and saw them on the news. Horrific acts of butchery perpetrated by generic religion section regs. This publicity was not good, at all.
After the boycott, the anti-Christians upped their attacks. Threats coming from people with police departments, child porn, pages disappearing based on death threats and the MOST INSANE stuff ever led to the feds being brought in. Asking about that website led me back to this one.

This one is even worse. No doubt. I believe there are people posting here that will be making news. Not the good news. The kind of news we saw from the last mega-site to mishandle religion and treat it like a game.
Oh yeah, a rest is coming for sure! You guys sound exactly like the Myspatheists sounded. Exactly. Can I call you guys Yatheists? Please?
The leader of The Atheist Mafia, Gazoo, chimes in. You know they had a clubhouse at Myspace too? The called it "thegodlessfellowship". Carbon copies, man. Carbon copies. Spiritual infants groping for fellowship and attention on their computers. The opposite of original and imaginative. The definition of group-think based on cowardice, vanity, and hate-mongering.

Be well!

If you think that MySpace's demise had anything to do with one section they implemented, you are delusional. Its demise was caused by a myriad of things, not the least of which being the emergence of Facebook.

Maybe you're just willfully blind to the fact that this so-called "shooting gallery" is in fact a sore reminder of the facts discussed here that religious apologists don't want to talk about. Like or not, honesty from these "people of faith" is not their strong suit.

Neither is yours, apparently.

This section isn't important in the Grand Scheme of the Universe. Seriously, give it a rest.

Well, I'll bet none of that will happen. I don't get in a huff about the world ending every 6 months, either. It's really peaceful being me.

Yeah...I'm sure that's exactly why MySpace failed there Skippy. Or it could be that FaceBook took over the niche.

I've been coming to this for six years. It's bigger now than ever. Boycott away. They aren't going anywhere.

If you don't want people questioning or criticising your beliefs, don't talk about them in public. Seriously. Do you think you have a right not to be offended? As a typical member of the right, you support freedom of speech until people say things you don't like, at which time you put pressure on the authorities to censor their opinions.

What was that Jesus said about hypocrites?
