It could be your age that is stopping your mom from allowing you to have a Facebook page. You have to be 13 to have a Facebook account .. as well as a Yahoo!Answers account.

Facebook is intrusive, and if you are not very careful, you will connect with various pedophiles and perverts of all sorts. I am sure your Mom is only trying to protect you.

I don't have a facebook page, and I don't want one.

first, turn 13. if you're already 13, good for you. also, its a big addiction and a big distraction to school. but if thats not a problem, then just get one without her knowing about. its how i kept my facebook for 4 years Tongue

She's just being "over protective", to jeopardize her son from strangers and people you don't know.
Your mother won't take that risk so any form of media which could influence you negatively are restrained for your own good.
Just be understanding about your mother, this situation "Mother son" is constant. She just want the best things for you.
