Why do people take Facebook so seriously?
I saw a friend's status on Facebook and it said she was deleting people who hadn't liked any of her recent statuses/photos. She even said she was checking all her recent posts to see if any specific person hadn't liked anything. She posts like every 30 minutes a day so to me that would be way too much trouble.

Then today someone else posted a status saying he was deleting friends who hadn't "liked" his page because they aren't real friends. To me that's silly. I have a page for something and if I invite a friend to like it and they don't, I don't really care.

I've just never gotten why some people take it that seriously. I use Facebook quite a bit, but I don't feel the need to delete anyone who hasn't liked any of my statuses in the past few days. lol

That happens when a person takes a social site (fb, twitter, instagram) and turns it into a competition for the most popular person on it.

Certain people are on Facebook to seek attention from other people so that's probably the reason why they take it so seriously. Those type of people might be lonely too.

lol. People are more curious about happenings in other's life. This is what happens in Facebook as well.

I know you don't care about it but why do bother about their status. Let them do what ever they want. Let them add friends. Let them unfriend friends. It's their call. Why should we bother!

Ahhhhhh good question. You see, people like to feel significant in this world. The people you described are what me and my friends like to call "facebook whores". All they want is attention because they don't get it in real life. Usually these people have a very low opinion of themselves and cant stand to look at themselves in the mirror unless they are taking a mirror selfie. It's good that you don't care about their posts because honestly fuck them! Get some real friends for fucks sake. That pretty much sums it up.

This happens when people want more importance in this virtual world. They think everybody should know and like them and they spend their most of the time on facebook.
