What happens when I "like" a Facebook page?

When I "like" a Facebook page, like Macy's or Express, do I then automatically get updates from them? Do my "friends" also get or see these updates? I am just wondering if that would be annoying to them! I did notice at the top of my page today there was a Victoria's Secret icon with "So and So liked this." So I didn't get any of my friend's VS updates, so I am assuming they won't get mine? I like Facebook and all but sometimes I want a little more privacy!

When you like a facebook page :

* you contribute to making that page more popular(more the likes, more popular the page is)

* You get daily feeds from the page. Whatever page admin add to their wall, you get the same on your news feed.

* You can post anything(should be relevant) on that page's wall and take part in the discussions.


No, your friends won't get updates from page which you like until they they like it themselves.
