I only have 290 friends on facebook :(...?

Ok, so i'm in year 8 and i only have 290 friends on facebook. I know all of them and i have had facebook since march 2010. However, most of my friends have 400-500+ and i feel like a loser because they have so many more friends than me, and they say they know all of them. So what i am asking you is how many friends do you have, how long you've had facebook and how old you are, just so i can get an idea... thanks

I have 763 friends, have had a Facebook since October 2008, and am 16.

And hey, im gonna be honest, i probably only talk to like 200 of them. So why do I have them added? Mainly because I interact with them about school and classes and grades.

Ok, I'm 14 and I don't have a Facebook. You are not a loser for only having 290 friends. Facebook is about chatting with friends, not competing with your friends to have the most friends. 290 friends is a lot, if I had a Facebook right now I would probably only have like 50 friends.

I have about the same, I wouldn't stress to much about it it's unlikely they speak to all 500 of them. Try deactivating your account and see how many would notice if you left; most would not care let alone notice so sometimes fewer is better

Anything over 250 friends is just bullshit.
Don't become a social robot, add your real friends and actually talk to them.

i'm 18 and i have less than 140 friends , and i don't really know them all , not all are close ones
and another thing. don't believe those who say they know 400-500+ friends, that they know them all, and they might not be all real friends.
let me tell you something.you can have a thousand friends on facebook. but you find none of them when you need somebody. so what's the point in having so many friends if they are just friends apparently ?

I have facebook since it started, and I have less than 250. I have several friends who have 100 or less friends.
