why can't i get on my facebook?

I have been able to get on until yesterday. Now it just says, " redirecting" and nothing ever happens. But It has said, " internet explorer trying to find out the problem" Something like that. Does anyone know what may be happening and how to fix it?

There can be three things:

1. Your internet connection is slow and it fails to load

2. You are using Internet Explorer, upgrade to Chrome and then try logging in back again

3. Facebook is temporarily down
