Is there anyway I can change the name of my email? Also will it affect my logging into facebook?

I would like to change the name of my email because it's the most used and also I would like to make it a more professional account due to collage applications and job resumes. I would make a new one but I already have too many accounts (which I use all) and also I am concerned on how the name change would effect the way I log into certain accounts.
If there is anyway I can simply change the name of my email please let me know.
