How can I hide my activities from friends ticker on Facebook? Is it even possible?

You can't. The reason Facebook even exists is to track peoples likes and interests so they can direct advertisers in that direction. Everything you click on Facebook is recorded. They make billions of dollars by providing free Facebook use to people like us.
