Will I ever get a girlfriend being like this?

A senior in high school, I have always been a reserved and independent person socially. I talk to many people, including girls, in school, but hardly anyone outside of school. I am in several AP classes and spend most of my time doing work for those classes, playing golf for my school and baseball for my township, and the rest of my time is spent with family/watching sports/surfing the Internet because those are the things I enjoy doing. I don't really hang out with friends outside of school.

I am starting to think that girls are just not attracted to my social personality and that's why I can't get into a relationship with a girl. I have talked to several as friends, in school and where I work, but nothing ever gets past a basic friendship. They always go for the guys who are more socially appealing...in other words, those who go out and party and do things every night.

Along with my personality, it's difficult for me to initiate conversation and go about a discussion or engagement without fearing that I will do something awkward or embarrassing. I've tried to talk more to them about various things, but I don't feel right doing it. It's just not who I am. I'm not a big social person. I feel like I'm pretending to be something different in order to try to get a girl. I much prefer for the girl to take control of things and lead the way. I am more reserved and independent.

I have several girls that I consider friends; I talk to them in school and occasionally through text and online social media...but even that's only about school things at the farthest.

Are there girls out there who would want a relationship with me?

I don't see what is wrong with you. So what if you are more reserved? Right now girls your age are being dumb and only going for the "fun, andventerous" ones. Once they are looking for a serious relationship, they will realize tgey have only dated assholes and shouldn't have blown off guys like yourself. Honestly, if I knew you I would give it a shot.

I think girls now adays are too socialized and just want to date a guy and don't know anything else and don't even know if he is the right guy to date, i would say those who only want to talk to you and date you only based on soclialization, how popular you are then screw that because those aren't the best girls that you could find they and don't be so stupid and like those girls you will end up giving yourself trouble, like in my case i would prefer to find a guy that is more concentrated on school work, or work or just things in his life i would never like those guys who just want ot have fun and I would suggest that a guy shouldn't be too much concetrate on work and don't open themself to others but i know its really fake when you are trying to change yourself and force yourself to be socialize, but just a little socialize is required in life and yes i think guys likes you will find a girl friend somehow but you just ganna give it a little time and be patient i can tell you will find a girl friend because their are still alot of girl that likes guy who is really concentrating on their work and usually those are the responsible guys. Plus you are still young still have lots of time to find a good girl but i also need to tell you that don't let good times pass you by, life is short and sometimes you need to be apart of the fun. You just have to understand the time to concentrae and time to relax in this way i bet you can find a fine girl, but don't give yourself too much pressure if socializing really don't fits you then its alright you can always find a girlfriends withing your work area so good luck =)
