Have started a business page on facebook.
Have nearly 700 likers.
Have FREE Postage. Have awesome product. Have good prices.
Have everything in stock, no pre ordering, or get your orders in & that rubbish.
Have AMAZING give aways & discount opportunities.
Pay facebook for posts to be seen by a much larger audience.
Reports of online sales up 26% last quarter.
Yet I am not making sales anything near than what I expected???
Would like to get a website but obviously only if the facebook page is super successfull...& don't see why it isn't when others are...have been operating a couple of weeks but had 600 likers when I launch my Catalogue.

Go to forums related to your page and your sale items, get to know the members and put a signature for yourself. Post a lot of questions and answers,etc.

On whether or not to have a website, it really depends what your ideas are, and whether your ideas can cope with having a website or having a page is enough for the moment.

You can also tell you friends and let them spread and share the words of your page out.

I'll never buy from your business because I don't use facebook. A liker is a clicker not a buyer. Facebook is for people who want to chat and tell their mates what a crap day they had, not for people looking to buy things.

You need promotion, social media promotion to drive traffic. There are a lot of ways to do that.
I also suggest you invest some money in SEO services, they can rise you website in search engine ranks therefore you can get more organic traffic (which is the best).

Make sure you promote yourself in your niche, targeted traffic is the way to go if you want to have any sales.
