Would you wish your partner Happy New Year ...?

My bf seems annoyed with m but won't tell me why and its since I posted "happy new year to my friends"

He knows that Facebook to me is not something I use to air my life. If someone matters to me I keep that private but not in a bad way.
I had to be away for new year and he as the first person I spoke to and wished new year.
Did I do wrong we are in our mid thirties and social networking sites are not always my thing. He even agrees with me. Maybe I was wrong I don't know but he knows I love him.
He has shut down emotionally

Yes of course people wish their friends, husbands etc New Year. I don't see the point in Facebook. If I want to talk to someone I email or phone them.i doubt that this hAs anything to do with Facebook. In your case you need to speak face to face with him and ask him what's the matter. He needs to say what's troubling him.

If you have a strong guess of what may be troubling him, go for it. From what you've said, I think the case may be he wanted to spend time with you along the New Year's. If he still talks to you, talk casual and everyday. Do things that you always did beforehand.
