facebook notifications?

My facebook account has stopped giving me the litte notification signals when someone writes on my wall or does anything else. How do I make it notify me?
just to be clear, I'm not talking about email notifications, I want them on facebook...you know, when you log in and it tells you how many you have?

1. At the top, theres the main blue bar, click accounts to the right.
2. Click notifications
3. Select that which you wish to be notified about
4. Click save changes
5. Enjoy =)

Has it stopped a couple of days ago ? If yes, its just because they have made many changes recently on facebook. You can see your notifications at the bottom right corner of the page (its in a small red box). Once you click on it you can see your latest notifications (they are usually indicated with a number).
If you want to see your older notifications, just click on the upside-down arrow on the right of the 'inbox' option. Notifications are the 3rd option.

look on the bottom right of you screen. it should be down there with a red thing (i think im not sure right now lol). facebook changed again. they add instant messenger.
