Isn't it ironic that Obama mastered social/new media to get elected, but now he can't control it?

He was the president of the new generation. Post racial. Technological. Blah Blah Blah....

Yet it seems Obama's White House is trying to operate like every White House before it: Maybe tell a lie, cover something up.........but it's cool, nobody will ever be able to prove anything (UNTIL NOW).

Isn't odd how the man who used social and new media to gain the White House is apparently stunned that the CURRENT president has a different level of scrutiny than any past president (which should be A OK since this was going to be "the most transparent administration in history"....lol)
@gee wally...........

Agreed. Bush could have never gotten Democrats to agree to legislation that allows for indefinite detention of U.S. citizens.
@scott b.................

lol...........They should add a button to your keyboard: Randomize fox news comment.

It's the same damn sh*t for like 3 years now....
@chewy........"Controlling media is more of a conservative strategy."

Which is why Obama goes to great lengths to limit access so that only the desperate will drop all journalistic pretenses to get an interview. CHECK.

"They use it to compensate for the failure as national leaders"

lol.........THIS IS GREAT. Bushies are Obamabots and Obamabots are Bushies.

I think Obama is doing well despite the party of wickedness attempts to derail him.

Did that comment come from the Glenn Beck website?? It sounds like pretty typical Fox drivel...

No. Neither is it ironic that conservatives have to constantly make up lies about our president. Obama is not trying to control social/new media.

Controlling media is more of a conservative strategy. They use it to compensate for the failure as national leaders. The fact that social media cannot be controlled is part of the reason why conservatives aren't winning as many elections anymore.

Edit: Restricting interviewers is not controlling the media. Questioning the coverage of other outlets is trying to control the media. Constantly questioning their objectivity is an attempt to bully them into running with the conservative version of events.

Sounds like speculation to me!

I'll bet you were saying the same BS a year ago about 'fast&furious' too!

BTW----Republicans helped Bush cover up the fact he ignored terrorism until 9/11/2001!
