Where can I file a complaint to Yahoo Answers?
Yes, I'm pretty sure this won't get me anywhere since Facebook, Twitter, Myspace and other media sites don't listen to the people who use the site. However, I want to be able to make a complaint any way.

Sure this is Yahoo Inc. running everything and calling the shots. But can't you at least give us an option? Make a preview of how the site design looks and works differently than the current one we have?

I mean seriously. The old design was better, not because it looked better but mostly because it was much easier to navigate through.

Not all this purple crap and everything that I basically have to know how to get around.

You really can't now. They have it locked down and you are forced to pick the provided solutions. It is impossible to contact the interns directly, as they only have "personal" backstories on their company page. It is censorship, I tell you!

What you can do is use Internet Explorer and use the Compatibility mode to switch back to the classic, functional layout. I don't know how long this will last, though.

You can post your feelings on the pinned thread on the Suggestion Board.

http://suggestions.yahoo.com/detail/?pro...fid=366151

It won't help, but it may make you feel better. They did fo test runs of the new version in the US over the past year. And then went forward with it, despite negative feedback from some users. While it seems "everyone" hates it, remember that it is normally only those who dislike changes that vocalize about it. The rest simply quietly adjust. Staff must have seen statistics that supported their decision.

The best way to approach this is to treat it like a NEW site you just signed up for. So go to the HELP page and find the Overview, take the tour and become familiar with where things are. That helps a lot.

hundreds of millions of people have accounts in here so they won't change back based on one complaint

you can speak your mind in the threads in the Suggestion Board

think of it this way - if you had never used Answers and came in here for the first time, you wouldn't know this was a "new" format because you would have no experience with the old format so you wouldn't be bothered by it

I don't like it either but there's nothing we can do about it, they made this major change for a number of reasons and it's here to stay
