A question about windows phone?

I recently bought a HTC 8x windows phone. I use to use andriod phones. while this phone runs amazingly smooth. but my question is. will windows phones ever be up to date with apps? some of the apps are extremely pathetic. and limted amount of apps. also does windows still bring out updates for the htc 8x? thanks

The Windows Phone app has been growing consistently, and now houses 145,000 applications. New apps and games are coming all the time - so your patience will certainly be rewarded. Also, make sure you check out some of the brilliant third party applications for popular apps, such as Instance for Instagram and SwapChat for SnapChat.
