seriously.. how do i get a job?
what am i doing wrong?????!! I've gone to several interviews (even made it to the second interview last time) still, no job.. I have no criminal record. my last boss was a true scumbag that doesn't treat ANY of his workers right.. no wonder people are breaking into places, or selling drugs, they're hungry. I get denied for every single job. On top of that it takes at least 15 mins to fill out an app just to get denied. idk what to do. ive decided this year is going to be better than 2013 but so far I can't make even a little money to get my car fixed. im a good talker, outgoing, well spoken, and from what others tell me.. relatively good looking. I can't get a grant to go to school. I'm just so screwed. does it ever get better?? if so, how? and WHEN?!?!

Google yourself and make sure nothing bad is out there.
You're not insulting your old job in facebook are you?
Go to your mom and ask her if you look "ok".
Sometimes not being shaven and having a nice haircut can damage you.

You need to make sure you aren't presenting any "red flags" to employers. These days, employers just look for a reason not to hire someone. Some things to check for: (1) Make sure when asked about leaving your previous job, don't say anything negative about your previous employer. You can say something like you didn't like the working conditions, but just leave it at that. Keep it short and plain. (2) What shows up when an employer Googles your name, or looks at state circuit court records. I always check court records and have not hired people because of what I found. If you have a bunch of people who sued you for non-payment of bills, speeding tickets, etc. that all shows up. (3) Make sure when you fill out applications you do it neatly and completely, check your spelling! (4) You have car issues, and employers hate the idea of someone with unreliable transportation (or anything else that keeps them from working when scheduled). If asked, tell them you have reliable transportation, getting to work is no problem. Then if you get hired figure out how to make it work.

You have two choices, (1)wait for someone to chase you with a job, or (2)continue the search as discouraging as it may be. Assuming you are applying for jobs you qualify for, (2) is the only reasonable choice. People get hired every day. You have to persevere and will eventually be one of them.
