How do I delete my Facebook account?

I made an account for facebook, but I was silly and accidently put in the wrong name. Because I can't change that, I need a new account, but the website isn't letting me make a new one under the same e-mail address. Is giving an e-mail I check often important, or do I just use it for the initial e-mail? Do I need to find a way to forward mail from another account, or is there a way to delete this one? I appreciate the help.

I did the same thing, go to the "help" tab and delete your profile will be an option, you will see it. But it takes 14 days to come off =(

Sign out and never go back in OR change your email OR there is a button on the website engraved "eject profile" which should be on your profile. Good luck

you can't deleate it but you can de-activate it.
You do this by going to settings (located near search engine, top right corner) and then you go to account settings and de-activate it.

To delete your Facebook account, first log-into Facebook and then click this link:

Hit the blue Submit button and your account will be deleted. It's permanent and you lose everything. Make sure you log-in first before clicking the link; otherwise, you will get a generic contact form.

if you want to know How to Delete Facebook Account , follow these steps :

1. Click here and log in

2. If you really want to delete it forever click on delete my account .
3. Fill this form and press ok

Note : your account will be deleted within 14 days if you log into your account within the next 14 days, you will have the option to cancel your request .
