I don't believe you can delete it, you can certainly deactivate it. I've done that and plan to again soon. I would delete your personal pictures off of it too otherwise they want to own them
Go to accounts>account settings>help center>common searches>delete account Ads |

I commend you for wanting to delete your account. Everybody should.
I have no idea how to do it though, because I've never used FB! |

Actually, if you deactivate your account and do not log in for 14 days, your account is permanently deleted.

Google for "How to permanently delete facebook account". A forum will pop up with instructions.Log into your account and type this URL in your address bar. http://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php...te_account It will ask you to confirm action. Don't use account for 14 days and it will be permanently deleted.
