How do you use your yahoo avatar in yahoo answers?

Please I need help I see people that post thhings and they have their avatar as their profile pic.I'll give you 5 stars to any1 who gives me a good answer

You can use a photo or a Yahoo! cartoon avatar, and if you have a Facebook or Twitter account, you can also use those avatars.

Go to: http://profile.yahoo.com/y/settings/privacy/ - make sure your profile isn't hidden, because if it is, your avatar won't show.

If you want a cartoon avatar, go here to create one: http://avatars.yahoo.com/ - then click on "Yahoo!" under "Export your Avatar".

In case you want to use a Facebook or Twitter avatar, you need to link those accounts in the Profile options.

You have several options in case you want a photo avatar:
a) go to your Yahoo! Answers settings at http://answers.yahoo.com/my-activity/edit/about , click "Update photo or avatar",
b) go to your Yahoo! Profile at http://profile.yahoo.com/ , click on the current avatar.
Now upload a picture or choose one of the pics you've uploaded previously.

Note: if you are on a mobile, you need to switch to desktop mode first in order for this to work.

Or else upload a picture to your profile . Right click your user name, [Or My Activity] then edit my preferences. edit my picture. Years ago you also had to scroll down to the bottom and check apply or something. [its been so long that i can't remember.]

Now a recent change is that it is connected to your Yahoo profile. You can not hide your profile. Your avatar will then be hidden. It must be made to allow others to see your profile. However for Yahoo answers you can click your Yahoo answers user name and hide your email, and hide your questions from everyone except contacts.

u could choose either a cartoon or a photo avatar

Cartoon, this way is fast, straight forward and easy. Go below, create your avatar and save. Then, click your current default avatar then click edit my preferences and you will see where to check use avatar.

You could also create a personal avatar below save it to you pc then upload it as a photo.
