Can a normal person be friends with a celebrity?

I was kinda wondering if its possible. Theres this celebrity that i like and was wondering i could be friends with them. They only have twitter so thats the only way i can contact them. I live in a diff country to them so won't be able to see them in person.

When i say friends, i mean what if they follow me back then i can just generally talk to them over pms like normal friends youknow?

Is this possible? The problem is to try and be heard, and if i am heard, what do i say? I don't want to sound like a crazed fan that just wants to try and suck up to them.

And then you find out you can't be friends with them because their famous. Should've tried 5 years ago when she only had like 1k followers =(

It's highly unlikely. Celebrities have thousands of people who want to be their friends. They aren't going to go to the hassle of wedding through them to find a genuinely good person.

Just enjoy whatever they do from afar, and in a few months or years, you will get into someone else.

Not likely.
You have to keep in mind. They don't know who they can really trust. Who wants just to be friends with them just cuz they are famous and rich. Who is just trying to use them or get fame off them.
They don't know who really wants to be their friends for who they actually are not the Famous person they know them as.


Celebrities are only known to be friends with people they knew before they became famous, other Celebrities, people they work with and sometimes if you have connections to someone who knows them that's a way. But other than that no.

"Celebrities" aren't always as they seem in public. They might come off as "nice", "sweet", etc., but in private, they're miserable and nasty. You're basing your opinion on a public persona, not on reality.
