Why are people in such a rush to get married?
Do you think people settle because they fear being alone? Do you feel that it's necessary to get married or do you think people should get married because they truly love the person?

Marriage is a insurance Policy the Woman can use when She becomes Pregnant . Without it the Guy simply screws every Woman He can get and moves on. With it the Woman knows the Guy will probably stick around and look after Her and the Baby.

I honestly could never understand why people were in such a great rush to get married. I guess, for some, it might be the fear of being alone...but lol, true love? I stopped believing in that a long time ago. I don't think that it's completely necessary to get married. I mean, if you want to, then you should certainly go for it! What I'm trying to say is: to each their own. If you want to get married then that's your choice, if not, that's your right as an individual as well.

Maybe because some of us just want to be married when we're young. I shouldn't have to defend that.

Personally I think one reason is based on the concept of how painful it is to die alone.. if applicable in certain circumstances

Marriage is a social paradigm and "tradition". That been said, the concept of finding the "one" is romanized all too often. That is part of the reason people rush to get married. Particular people feel the need to be supported by another with the idea that: "life is only going to get better if Im married". Not to mention, the social pressure that comes with marriage is portrayed all over the media.

it's part of our culture: we've been ingrained with the idea of romance and marriage since we were babies and watching Disney movies (that is, if you did! I know I did :O) it's just what we think society expects of us.
As people get older, they will sometimes marry out of necessity or mutual security. Personally, i think it'd be nice if we all got a Disney ending, but that's really an ideal. All in all, our society's just inundated with romance!
