Will my Facebook friend get a notification that I followed them again after accidentally unfollowing them?
We are already friends on Facebook so I was automatically following him.
While I was looking at his page, I accidentally clicked the "follow" button which changed to "unfollow." I freaked out and hit it again so now I'm following him again. Will he get any sort of notification? Things are kind of awkward between us and I don't want him to get any notifications from me. I did the same thing with my mom, dad, and sister. None of them got a notification. Do you think I'm good? My other friend shouldn't get one if they didn't, right? Ads |

Yes, he will get a notification. In fact, he most likely will get a request to allow or disallow your re-friending.

try to do the same thing with someone else and see if they see it (like a sibling or parent)

No, nobody will know that, FB also don't notify them. It's a good tool though, if we don't want to unfriend somebody (they'll know that eventually), but we don't want to see their gibberish in our Newsfeed, then click the Following to unfollow them.
