What is difference between facebook wall and timeline?

when i posted a comment on a friend's wall, it appeared in my wall that i posted in her timeline..why?

facebook timeline is much more better than facebook wall......... beacause it has unique FEATURES...!!!!

Facebook wall is something like stashing all documents and updates and making a huge pile of it.. Facebook timeline is like keeping it organised.. Like keeping the docs and updates in seperate drawers..

You can see the years on the right side of ur timeline and u can go to any year and from that u can go to any month, and you can check your previous updates easily.. It was not possible in wall.

# Timeline tell us timing about every activity which was performed on facebook account in a very attractive manner whereas facebook wall is unable to do so.
# Timeline changes structure of front page of facebook. In Timeline you can add cover photo to your profile where as in traditional facebook wall you can not do this.
