freaky myspace/facebook question. please help!!?

so i was looking at this girl who hates me's public myspace and you know those annoying ads that are on the bottom that say youve won a free computer or you have a new message from your friend? well i was logged off of facebook (AND I DONT EVEN HAVE A MYSPACE!) and the ad had my facebook picture and my name and said i have a new message or w/e. but why was my picture & name there?/howdid they get it? will she be able to see that i looked at it?

i think that could have just been a data mining tracking cookie sending the information that you use to log in with and it got used for the advertisement.


clear your internet cache and see if the ad comes up again.
i wouldnt be too worried, sometimes when you input data such as your zip code, log in name, or other information, it could be saved through cookies and then picked up elsewhere.

social networking kinda freaks me out (like this!) so i usually avoid it.

It was probably just a clever ad, and I don't think she can see it.

Ads can look things up through your computer history..
